De-construct canopy
Wooden Structure + glass pannels with black iron frames
Technical Description of the Canopy Structure
1. General Description:
The image shows a canopy structure with a dynamic, deconstructivist aesthetic. It is composed of a seemingly chaotic arrangement of intersecting wooden beams supporting a partial glass covering. The canopy appears to be designed as an architectural installation or sculptural pavilion.
2. Structure:
Primary Material:
Structural elements are composed of timber beams, likely of rectangular cross-section.
These beams are stained or painted orange for visual emphasis.
Configuration:
The beams are randomly intersecting at varying angles, forming an intricate, spatially complex frame.
While the arrangement appears chaotic, it likely follows structural logic at critical junctions to ensure stability and load distribution.
3. Covering:
Material:
Transparent glass panels are used as the canopy’s cover.
Support System:
The glass is framed with black iron elements, likely in the form of triangular trusses or bracing frames. These frames are connected to the timber beams at select nodes, providing both support and anchoring for the glass panels.
Placement:
The panels are tilted and geometrically irregular, adding to the deconstructivist feel while offering partial shelter from above.
Their positioning also allows natural light penetration while casting sharp, angular shadows beneath.
4. Scale and Proportion:
The structure is roughly 3–4 meters tall, based on the scale of the human figure in the rendering.
The span of the wood elements extends well beyond the vertical supports, suggesting a dramatic cantilevered design.
5. Architectural Intent:
The design likely aims for a sculptural impact, prioritizing visual complexity and architectural expression over conventional symmetry or modularity.
This form follows principles of deconstructivist architecture, characterized by fragmentation, non-linear geometry, and apparent instability.
6. Potential Applications:
Public art installation
Pavilion or entry canopy for cultural institutions
Urban gathering or shaded resting area

PROGETTO CMR
PROGETTO CMR designed the
250 square meters retail and entertainment
area at the heart of
Beijing’s Chaoyang district where
sport meets fashion.
Beijing’s first official inters tore
inaugurated on March 28th 2009.
Inter FC’s first official store in
northern China, located at one of
Beijing’s prime locations within
Solana Shopping Centre on the
northwest corner of Chaoyang
park, was inaugurated with
an event which will see the
participation of present and past
players as well as high members
of the historical football club.
he store is part of Inter Milan’s
strategy to open a series
of stores both at national and
international level, with a view
not only to cater to the needs
for merchandising of an ever
growing fan base but also to
convey their long celebrated values
of multiculturalism, tradition
, teamwork, ethics, style, pride
and passion.
Progetto CMR successfully
implemented such values into
a concept design where every
detail reminds of the club history,
tradition and values, from the
colour scheme to the images of
sport stars and events past and
present, from the refined materials
and lighting to the hi-tech
video and audio equipment, thus
transforming a visit to the store
into an empowering experience,
a moment of aggregation to
share with others supporters.
Far from being a mere retail
venue, the store is organized
around three different areas,
each related to a specific function
and destination of use.
