With a view to promoting the work of the architect, the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservationists of the Province of Milan has created a guide - YOUR ARCHITECT. Instructions for use - to help clients in their search for the most suitable professional and to show the advantages that an architect can bring to a project. 

The aim of the guide is to promote the role and social value of the architect's activity with regard to “non-expert” clients and to help the professional establish a clear relationship with the client and help them bridge the informative asymmetry that characterises the relationship between the parties today.

The guide helps the client to define their goals and priorities and the architect to manage the design process. It is aimed at both the client and the professional, and suggests simple rules for establishing a good relationship: because a good design is always the result of an exchange between the parties.
