Exemptions
Upon presentation of a motivated and documented request by the person concerned, the Council may decide to exempt the member from the training activity, even partially, in the following cases:
- maternity, paternity, adoption, fostering, reducing the training obligation of – 40 PTC for each maternity (paternity, adoption or fostering) in the three-year period, including the 8 PTC regarding ethics and statutory disciplines; simultaneous recognition of maternity and paternity is envisaged. In these cases, it is necessary to attach the child's birth certificate or other supporting documentation;
- serious illnesses, accidents that lead to even partial interruption of professional activity;
- other cases of documented impediment resulting from force majeure and exceptional situations;
- full-time university lecturers (full professors, associates, researchers), enrolled in the special list, who are precluded from exercising their profession (Law no. 382/1980); for these cases, the form is available here
- non-practice of the profession: members who do not practise the profession are not obliged to pursue continuing professional education; for these cases, the form is available here. To this end, those entitled to do so must submit to the territorial Order, for verification under its jurisdiction, a declaration in which the registered member states, under their personal responsibility, that they:
- are not in possession of a VAT number, either personal or corporate, nor subject to the relative obligation in relation to activities falling within the scope of the profession;
- are not registered with the National Social Security and Welfare Fund, nor subject to the relative obligation;
- do not engage in any form of professional activity, not even occasionally (whether as a freelancer or as an employee).
All types of exemptions must be requested by the registered member, for each year of reference.
For persons who register with a territorial Order for the first time (first registration), the training obligation starts on 1 January of the year following that of registration.
Compulsory training ceases in the three-year period of the 70th year of age. Any training debts carried over from previous three-year periods must in any case be remedied for the purposes of regularity in training.
Exemptions relating to the first year of enrolment and attainment of the 70th year of age will be entered automatically.
Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
