Get to know the foundation
The Foundation of the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscaper Artists and Conservationists of the Province of Milan is a non-profit organisation set up in 1998 with the aim of broadening the debate on architectural issues and spreading awareness of the architect's professional role in society.
The staff of the OAMi Foundation is organised with flexible work arrangements, receives by appointment and answers telephone calls at the times and days indicated below.

Culture Area
In over twenty years of activity, with the guidance of its founding Order, the OAMi Foundation grew steadily until 2016, when it embarked on a path of organisational autonomy, openness to new activities and the participation of third parties, resulting in the definition of a statute which was approved on 20 October 2017.
The statute, which envisions a senior figure with the title of director, describes a Foundation open to private and public supporting members. And it consolidates its purpose: to continue its activities in support of the profession, enhancing and qualifying its constant cultural, technical and scientific development, through initiatives aimed at professional training and the dissemination of the design culture. And also by strengthening the cultural proposal with and for the public through cultural initiatives. The OAMi Foundation also engages in daily dialogue with more than 18,000 design, architecture and planning professionals (architects, companies, institutions, members of the public) by promoting initiatives, synergies and debates.
Since 2018, the Foundation's cultural activities have also been carried out thanks to the contribution granted by the General Directorate for Education, Research and Cultural Institutes of the Ministry of Culture.
Via the majority presence of Council members on the new Board of Directors, the Order, as the founding body, continues to supervise the Foundation's activities, giving strategic indications for development and guiding the actions, guaranteeing the quality of the content.
The headquarters in via Solferino 17-19 is located in the historic centre of Milan, in a central position with respect to the metropolitan area and easily accessible by public transport.
In approximately 800 square metres, distributed on three levels, are the offices of OAMi and Fondazione OAMI, as well as a space dedicated to the Regional Council of the Orders of Architects of Lombardy.
The organisational architecture, the management of resources and the description of the Foundation's activities are defined in the Statute, which has been in force since 20 October 2017.
