Descrizione prodotto

The biennial Award is the result of a joint initiative between the Order and the Foundation of the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservationists of the Province of Milan, the Gabriele Basilico Archive and the Studio Marangoni Foundation.

The Award, dedicated to the memory of Gabriele Basilico (Milan, 1944-2013), a great protagonist of international architectural and landscape photography, is open to photographers under 35 and is aimed at the production of a photographic project which will be presented in an exhibition and a book.

Participation in the Award was by invitation: the jury (made up of Giovanna Calvenzi, Stefano Boeri, Vincenzo Castella, Francesca Fabiani, Alberto Ferlenga, Maria Gruzdeva, Bernard Latarjet, Martino Marangoni, Sandra Phillips, Franco Raggi, Roberta Valtorta and Bas Vroege) identified a list of 25 selectors from different countries in the world. Each selector proposed the names of two photographers who were invited to submit one of their projects.

35 authors from 24 countries submitted projects in the third edition.

The jury selected seven finalists and the winner of the second edition of the Award was Jiehao Su, who submitted a project dedicated to the city of Pechino and its urban landscape.

The first edition of the award was won by Maria Gruzdeva with the project “The song of Tvarkcheli”.

Shipping available until December 16th, to receive the book by Christmas.
